Two is Always Better Than One, Play College Fantasy
By Tom Hackett

Football season is here, and it’s time to add college football to your Fantasy résumé. If you’re like me, and you need football seven days a week, and fantasy pro football just isn’t enough, get your crew together and get your fantasy college draft ready to roll.
Here’s your “how to” guide to fantasy Saturdays.
Fantasy college works just like the fantasy pro, except for a few small differences. You’ll need a calculator to tally all the points, because some of these players’ stats are just plain filthy (see Grant Harrell, Texas Tech QB). The season is a little shorter than the pros and you will have to start your playoffs around the ninth or tenth week to get the championship game in before the bowls start.
Players are picked from the top 35 coach’s poll, available in the USA Today sports section. Rules and scoring can be brought over from your fantasy pro football league. If you don’t want to do any of the work that comes with setting up the college league, you can sign up for CBS Sports line’s Fantasy College Football. CBS also has expert analysis on the draft, strategies and who’s hot and who’s not.
Only concern with the CBS Sports line league, the NCAA is trying to stop the use of the names of these players. Don’t be surprised if you have to draft number No. 24 RB Georgia Bulldogs, instead of the name of the player inside the uniform No. 24, Knowshawn Moreno. I don’t anticipate this being a problem, either way we are gearing up and ready for the draft.
Look for my next article on the draft, as we preview the players you’re going to need on your team, to bring home your fantasy Heisman. Follow me through this season for my advice on who to play, who to drop and basic strategies for you to win your league. I will also play in the CBS Sports Line League and go head-to-head with players across the country.
Hang on to your handbags, and climb aboard, this train is about to leave the station.
